Hello, I am David, the Founder of Tapestrysite.
I decided to set up this website/ blog in order to help out people that were in the same situation as me a couple of years ago. I used to have very little knowledge of Tapestries; I was just fascinated by the beautiful Mandala patterns and different designs, I never thought about the quality. I often made the common mistake of buying a cheap Tapestry from Amazon... This was a very rookie mistake and one I hope you won't make. I will tell you why if you give me just 3 minutes of your time.
I have always been interested in art and from a very young age, I was drawing and painting everyday. When I went to school I continued with my art and developed a skill which I am very proud of to this day. I knew everything about paints, colors, design, shading and tones. However, when it came to crafts and knowledge of fabrics I just did not have a clue. Now, after a long time spent learning about different fabrics - cotton, polyester etc, I am now in a position to help others.
When it comes to designs, the tapestry industry is actually corrupt. Prominent designers work with other designers to promote each others work and therefore the new guys don't get a chance to have their own work known - even if it is better.
I am affiliated with a top branded company that has hundreds, if not thousands of Beautiful and unique tapestries. I have spent a long time sourcing only the best designs. I have chosen to use this particular company to source tapestries because I know for a fact that they only use the best material. These wall hangings will last a lifetime.
The blog is what TapestrySite is all about. There is a lot of valuable content which is essential for any Tapestry lover. Even the veteran tapestry enthusiast will find a lot of useful information here.
When new designs are put up, you can bet that there will be a post about it. It will detail the different designs, theme and styles. There are a lot of choices to choose from when it comes to tapestries and each design is unique.
Tapestries are a unique way to decorate your living space. More versatile and diverse than a framed picture, you can literally hang one anywhere... you can even use it as a picnic blanket or flag. They are more lightweight, so when it comes to storage - it is far easier... But I don't want to give away all the secrets just yet. You will have to read the blog and find them out for yourself!
